After West debuted songs with titles like “New Slaves” and “Black Skinheads,” many believed this was going to be Kanye’s Public Enemy, socio-political, black rage record. It isn’t, really. Kanye gets topical, but no more than he has in the past. No, this is an album inspired by Kanye’s narcissism, just like his previous two albums.
